TSPLOST
The initial Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) was approved by the voters as a five-year implementation concluding on March 31, 2022. Voters approved an extension of the TSPLOST (or TSPLOST II) as part of the November 2021 election. The TSPLOST II collections began on April 1, 2022 and will conclude March 31, 2027. Over the five-year implementation, the City is anticipated to receive $65.5 million in revenues if collections align with expectations. Many of the City’s transportation projects are funded by TSPLOST.
Intersections
Through the City of Johns Creek’s planning processes, numerous intersections have been identified to improve operations and safety for drivers and pedestrians.
Sidewalks
Projects are selected based on the sidewalk policy, and a matrix that includes safety, connectivity, and proximity to schools, parks, activity centers, pedestrian use, whether it closes gaps, construction, and cost.
