Apparatus

The Johns Creek Fire Department has three engines/pumpers and two 100′ ladder trucks, custom-built for the department by Pierce Manufacturing, the world’s leading provider of firefighting apparatus.

JCFD also has with one transport capable rescues, which can often respond to emergencies more quickly than larger equipment and, in the event of a delay in ambulance service, transport a critically injured person to an area hospital.

The transport capable rescue is equipped with LIFEPAK monitors which monitor heart and lung conditions and have wired and wireless networking capability to area hospitals, allowing for constant monitoring of a victim from the time the first responders in the transport capable rescue arrives at the scene of a medical emergency.

A river rescue boat and a mobile air unit are also part of the department’s apparatus.
