Citizens Police Academy
JCPD Community Services
Johns Creek Police Community Services offers the Citizens Police Academy for an in-depth look at JCPD operations and the policies it follows in setting a high standard for community policing.
The academy meets one night a week for nine weeks, and includes classroom instruction (criminal investigations, internal affairs, narcotics, CSI, Community Services); demonstrations (K-9, SWAT, ); and practical exercises (traffic enforcement and firearms).
Open to all Johns Creek residents or neighboring communities who successfully pass the application process and a criminal history check. Must be a minimum age of 17 years-old. (17-year-old must be enrolled as a senior of a local high school, college, or university.)
The Citizens Police Academy is limited to 25 people. The class fills up quickly and there’s usually a waiting list.
Applications and criminal history forms are also available at JCPD Headquarters, 11360 Lakefield Drive, Johns Creek, GA 30097
