Chris Coons

Chris Coons is the Johns Creek Fire Department Fire Chief. Additionally, Chief Coons serves as the EMA (Emergency Management Agency) Director for the City of Johns Creek. He is experienced in many aspects of emergency response to include Firefighting, Emergency Medical Response, Hazardous Materials Incident, Technical Rescue and Emergency Management. Chief Coons brings 27 years of experience in public safety.
 
Currently, Chief Coons holds a bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, is a Certified Chief Fire Officer (CFO) through the Center for Public Safety Excellence, Georgia Paramedic, holds numerous other certifications and is completing his thesis for a master’s degree in public administration.
