Chris Clanton

Chief Clanton has 36 years of experience in the Fire Department with an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science. He will receive his bachelor’s degree in Fire Administration in mid-2024.

His primary roles include, but not limited to, reviewing all plans for new and existing commercial buildings.  He conducts permit inspections on commercial buildings and all associated inspections for all existing commercial buildings annually, fire protection systems and citizens request. Chief Clanton is also mandated so that he can conduct fire scene investigations. He also participates in our various community outreach programs.
